These books are in no particular order but instead just as they come to hand.
The sub-title of this book is 'experimental ideas for contemporary lettering'. The author is Margaret Morgan and the book was published in 2009.
The Chapter 'Making a String Pen' caught my eye. I had already experimented with this type of lettering with my lovely friend Carol. We used a plastic drinking straw with very good results so I was interested to see how well this one worked.
The project asks for a piece of garden string bound with masking tape to both stop the string unraveling and to make the string easier to handle.
I liked it but not as much as the drinking straw.
